Both the Gateway and Ellis Historic Neighborhoods held successful neighborhood meetings in May. Besides electing new representatives to neighborhood councils and making some bylaws changes, leaders focused on getting neighbors involved.

On June 20, 2013, members of the Gateway Community Garden, Sheboygan Neighborhood Pride, Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce, Gateway Neighborhood Association, and City officials celebrated the grand opening of the first community garden in Sheboygan.
