Neighborhood Meetings Get Neighbors Involved

Both the Gateway and Ellis Historic Neighborhoods held successful neighborhood meetings in May. Besides electing new representatives to neighborhood councils and making some bylaws changes, leaders focused on getting neighbors involved.

The Ellis Historic Neighborhood meeting was held at Spaceport Sheboygan. Neighbors had the opportunity to see one of the new attractions in their neighborhood as part of the meeting. They also made plans for neighborhood events to piggy-back on major events happening in their neighborhood, including HarborFest and the Fourth of July Festivities at Deland Park.

Gateway Neighborhood revitalized their board, electing several new members and making plans for Michigan Avenue Days, a joint effort between the Gateway Neighborhood Association and business owners on Michigan Avenue. Gateway also held a very successful joint neighborhood clean-up with the Erie Hill neighborhood.
